Yaslynn is here! I had recently shared with you Preena & Paul’s Maternity shoot which was ONE DAY before they had their baby. Well here’s Yaslynn, four weeks after she was born.

Ezri – Pet Portraits

Well it’s the day before Christmas and I thought I’d post probably the last post of 2009 today. I’ll share many more weddings and portraits from 2009 in the new year. I’ve got a long list of posts just waiting to be shared with you guys.

Caroline and I used to be co-workers, but I’m more grateful for having the chance to work with her when she and Jon built this website for me! I have Caroline & Jon to thank for their work in creating my logo and making this site exactly how I wanted it to be. (So if you need any web/logo design services, visit Oogly.) Anyways, recently I was asked by Caroline to shoot some photos of their new puppy, Ezri, a beautiful Basset Hound. Puppies seem to be much like babies, in that you can rarely get them to do exactly what you want, but when you catch them at the right moment, the results are priceless. Ezri gave us a few surprises (I don’t know if she was nervous of being around my big camera that made her pee on the sofa) but did settle down and gave us a few relaxed shots too. All in all, a memorable session for me.

Emma – Baby Portraits

Of the many babies I photographed this year, Emma was one of few who allowed us to change her clothes, move her around and place her anywhere [safe] without complaining at all. And it made for such a great session. Here are some photos from a Home Lifestyle Session we took at Emma’s grandparents’ (my aunt and uncle, actually) place. Happy Holidays from Emma! :)

Mehtaab – Baby Portraits

Mehtaab’s was among several of the baby portraits I shot in November. I love these sessions. They’re often very calming (at least when the baby isn’t in a bad mood) and every time I’m amazed by these babies. How fast they learn, how fast they grow. If we learned, as adults, at the same rate as babies…wow. I can’t imagine.

Sikka Family – Home Lifestyle Session

One of my favorite families to photograph, the Sikka family. I’ve had the privilege of shoot for Rene and her family for the last three years. From her cousin’s wedding, to her first maternity photos, and now after the birth of second beautiful daughter, Zara. Here’s a few shots from their recent family photo session when I went to see Zara for the first time. Enjoy!

Webster Family – Lifestyle Portrait Session

Such a fun and interesting family photo session. Stephen asked me to take some photos of his family and I’m glad I had the chance. Stephen is my former boss from Vancouver Film School so it was great to meet his wife and kids. Anna and Sean, his kids were two of the most entertaining people I’ve ever photographed. Anna LOVES to talk ;), read, and play. Sean loves his Legos, is very smart and also, loved to play. We started the session in Stephen’s home where Anna showed me her favorite book and Sean showed me his Lego collection and the great stuff he’s built. From there we headed over to Jericho beach and caught some beautiful light as the sun was setting. I think you’ll be able to tell from the photos how great of a time we had.
